Today's First Challenge: An OSPF Configuration Sim
I created a practice Sim question in Packet Tracer and posted it on my Dropbox drive. Pay no attention to the Completion Rate when configuring the router. You will know that you did everything correctly when you test connectivity using ping.
Today's Second Challenge: The CCENT Practice Exam
Please take the CCENT practice exam inside of the CCNA 2 course on NetSpace. If you have any problems accessing the exam please let me know and I will fix it.
Good Luck!
Jim

ReplyDeleteHere is an interesting question posed on a study group that I am a member of relating to access-lists:
ReplyDelete"I have an access list that was created before I took over this router and network and it goes like this:
access-list 10 permit 0.0.0.0 255.255.254.0
Now I'm not the greatest in creating access lists but this wildcard seems a bit bass-ackwards. Does anyone know what this means?"
Has anyone seen this type of setup and is it legit???
Lee,
ReplyDeleteThe address 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 is the dotted-decimal way of representing any network (normally you would use the “ANY” keyword”. If you recall, the address 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 is used to represent all networks when configuring a static route (default route). If you were to substitute the appropriate wildcard mask for the 0.0.0.0 subnet mask you would end up with 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255. I’ve never seen the address 0.0.0.0 255.255.254.0 used before.
Jim do you teach online class?
